Susan Robens
What helped shape my approach is through the personal experience of living abroad for over 20 years and through 2 careers of archaeology and photojournalism. The personal experiences helped to create the understanding of the need for individuality and personal identity in diverse cultures. All of this, while raising 5 children in a complex world!
Masters Education
I earned two Master’s degrees: Master of Edu in Mental Health Counseling Program with Lamar University and a Master of Liberal Arts in Conflict Analysis from Antioch McGregor University with a Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology from SUNY in Jerusalem.
Core therapeutic education
My graduate internship was at a residential center for substance use recovery for mothers and children with an emphasis on individual and group therapy in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness through recovery.
Certification in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD clients in 2019.
