Integrative Therapy
No single approach fits everyone. I combine proven methods to fit your unique needs.
What is integrative therapy?
Integrative therapy means drawing from multiple evidence-based approaches to create a treatment plan that fits you as an individual. Rather than rigidly following a single method, I blend techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based practice, always guided by what will be most helpful for you.
This approach recognises that people are complex. Your anxiety might respond well to CBT techniques, while the trauma underneath it benefits from a more mindfulness-based approach. The relationship patterns you are struggling with might call for DBT skills. Rather than fitting you into a method, I fit the methods to you.
At the core of everything is the therapeutic relationship itself. Research consistently shows that the quality of the relationship between therapist and client is the strongest predictor of positive outcomes, more than any specific technique. I prioritise creating a space where you feel safe, heard, and genuinely understood.
The approaches I draw from
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): identifies and challenges unhelpful thought patterns that drive anxiety, depression, and other difficulties
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): builds skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT): a structured, evidence-based approach specifically for PTSD and trauma
Mindfulness-Based Approaches: cultivates present-moment awareness and reduces reactivity
Solution-Focused Therapy: emphasises strengths, resources, and practical steps toward your goals
Client-Centered Therapy: creates a non-judgmental, empathic space that supports self-exploration and growth
