This page explains what this website collects when you visit it or send me a message, and what I do with it. It covers the website only. Once you are my client, your health information is protected under HIPAA and Oregon law, as set out in my Notice of Privacy Practices. Ask me for a copy at any time.
Who I am
This website belongs to Susan Robens Counseling, 15405 SW 116th Ave, Suite 202A, King City, OR 97224. You can reach me about anything on this page at 503-495-5072.
When you send me a message
The contact form asks for your name, email address, phone number, the best time to call and a short message. When you send it, it comes to me by email so I can get back to you. The website does not keep a copy: each message is deleted from the site as soon as the email has gone.
Email is not a secure way to share health information. Please keep your message short and leave out details about symptoms, diagnoses or what you are going through. We can talk about that on the phone or in our first session. If you would rather not use the form, call me instead.
The form is not watched around the clock. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911.
Visitor statistics
I use three tools to understand how people find and use this website, so I can make it clearer and more helpful. They record things like which pages are visited, how long people stay, how they arrived (for example from a search), the type of device and browser, and a rough location such as the city. None of them is given your name, and none of them sees what you type into the contact form.
- Matomo counts visits without using cookies.
- Google Analytics uses cookies to tell new visits from return visits. I have turned off its advertising features, so the data is not used to show you ads.
- Microsoft Clarity uses cookies and records how the pages are used, such as clicks and scrolling, so I can see where a page is confusing. Everything typed into forms is hidden from these recordings.
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity do not run if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on. The site works the same either way.

Other services the site uses
The website’s fonts come from Google Fonts, and the map on the contact page comes from OpenStreetMap. To show them, your browser connects to those services, which see your IP address. The web host keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security.
What I never do
I do not sell or rent information about visitors, I do not share it for advertising, and I do not use it to target ads to you.
Children
This website is written for adults and for parents looking for help for their child. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or another trusted adult to contact me for you.
Your choices
If you have sent me a message and would like to know what I hold or have it deleted, call me and I will take care of it.
Changes to this page
If the website starts collecting anything new, I will update this page and the date at the top.
